A. Cartwright grew up in Ohio with her large family, a small circle of friends, and numerous pets, including huskies, pit bulls, and cockatiels. Summer nights were filled with camping, fishing, softball games, and losing herself in books. Her most fantastic adventure came in 2019 when she celebrated a great day by marrying her best friend, Brian.

Aubrey had trouble comprehending what she read as a child, but with a dedicated teacher, she overcame that difficulty. Not only did she overcome her obstacle, but with that fault, Aubrey had always been motivated to write stories as a child, locking herself away for hours to contemplate ideas, and soon, she was reading when she wasn’t typing.

Aubrey enjoys writing dark fantasy romances, always using everyday and everything as inspiration. She once belonged to a writers' group that met every Tuesday, where they discussed and critiqued each other's work. Unfortunately, that group fell apart, but they all remain friends. She is grateful because those ladies helped teach and nurture what Aubrey loves most.

She doesn’t plan on stopping her writing journey or slowing down anytime soon.
